Battle Wounds

My past was a blur and didn’t feel real, my present was a screaming siren of war and my hope was swallowed in the darkness. One thing I have learned is that Satan has little power over the believer. He can have his way with a person only under the jurisdiction of God. He can attack, tempt or torment only with a nod from the Almighty. God has given Satan a certain amount of freedom, but if God is always with you, then there is never a time where Satan is acting against you without God’s supervision. A lot of his damage is done with smoke and mirrors. He’s a creative liar who plays on your fears and emotions to manipulate you into a place where you are worthless and unable to produce. He wants to steal your story because he’s scared of the power it contains. In the vision that John wrote about in Revelations he says that he saw the believers defeating Satan with the blood of the Lamb and the word of their testimony. If Satan can’t undo the crucifixion, then his ultimate focus is to be on what he can do, He wants to get believers to a place where they are no longer heard. — Serena Woods

Cold is the water
It freezes your already cold mind
Already cold, cold mind
And death is at your doorstep
And it will steal your innocence
But it will not steal your substance

But you are not alone in this
And you are not alone in this
As brothers we will stand and we'll hold your hand
Hold your hand

And you are the mother
The mother of your baby child
The one to whom you gave life
And you have your choices
And these are what make man great
His ladder to the stars

But you are not alone in this
And you are not alone in this
As brothers we will stand and we'll hold your hand
Hold your hand

And I will tell the night
Whisper, "Lose your sight"
But I can't move the mountains for you

On Monday, I gave up. On Tuesday, God gave me the best day ever with my kids. On Tuesday night, I was admitted to the hospital. I re-engaged my will in this cosmic battle for my life. Life is dark, torment filled and fidgety. Pray for me, please. The battle rages on and I feel far, far away from God, with the claws of darkness so real and so close, digging in my back.
